UX/UI Design

Contributed to the ongoing evolution of the APEX platform by crafting visual solutions for both current and future state enhancements. Key design efforts included:

• Brainstorming sessions, whiteboard sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and iterative high-fidelity mockups.
• UX/UI improvements across core application areas: Login, Online Orders, Search, Pricing, Availability, and Checkout.
• Designed/Developed reusable components for "Torque", a unified design system aimed at modernizing and standardizing the UI across applications.
• Aligned with the "Brand Refresh" initiative by updating brand colors and applying new visual identity guidelines.

UX Development

Worked closely with the APEX development team to enhance the Angular-based application’s front end. Notable accomplishments:

• Analyzed and rearchitected the responsive framework to support tablet and mobile device compatibility.
• Spearheaded the responsive redesign initiative—including requirements gathering, LOE estimates, timeline creation, user story management, team coordination, and documentation.
• Developed responsive layouts, cleaned up legacy UI code, and improved alignment between design and implementation.
• Implemented global brand colors and design tokens from the new design system to ensure UI consistency.
• Developed and integrated modern messaging components (e.g., toasts, alerts) using Figma-based design specs.

UX Research

Led in-store research efforts to validate design decisions through real-world observation and user feedback.

• Conducted in-store visitations with Stakeholders, Commercial Account Managers and Team Members (End Users) to observe workflows and gather insights.
• Created interactive prototypes, mockups, and user questionnaires to guide feature/future planning.
• Documented findings and shared insights with product, engineering, and executive leadership.
• Translated research into actionable UX/UI improvements focused on enhancing usability and meeting user needs.

UI Design

Worked on visual and interaction design solutions for both current and future-state enhancements to Advance’s APro B2B platform. Key contributions included:

• Created wireframes, prototypes, sketches, and iterative high-fidelity mockups.
• Designed new user interfaces for key flows such as Order History, Availability, ETA tracking, and Checkout.
• Supported the "Brand Refresh" initiative by modernizing screens and aligning visuals with updated design standards.

UX Development

Contributed to front-end development in a live production environment, supporting both legacy and modernized systems. Key efforts included:

• Addressed UI-related bug fixes, resolved framework inconsistencies, and implemented new features.
• Built React-based components aligned with the evolving design system to improve code maintainability and visual consistency.
• Participated in UI clean-up efforts to bring front-end code closer to design intent.

UX Research

Led research and validation efforts through direct engagement with commercial customers. Notable work:

• Conducted in-shop visits alongside Commercial Account Managers to observe workflows, gather pain points, and validate concepts.
• Built and tested prototypes and mockups, and used questionnaires to capture feedback and usage data.
• Summarized insights and shared findings with cross-functional teams via CAM roundtable discussions, helping shape both current and future product direction.
• Applied research findings to make iterative visual improvements and improve the platform’s user experience.

UI Design:

As a lead designer on this project I was tasked to:

• Create a brand identity by designing the BAH Health Solutions logo.
• Design overall look for homepage, sub-pages, and complex components.
• Research and collect images for site visuals and people profiles.

UX Development:

Working on this project as a front-end developer my tasks included:

• Coding site design (hmtl + css) for homepage and subpages.
• Code navigation to use single page animated scroll design with parallax effect.

CMS Integration

As a developer on the project I was tasked to create a starter template for Joomla CMS integration which included:

• Converting coded website to Joomla template package for CMS installation.
• Installing template in content management system to troubleshoot package or any compatibility issues.

Brand:

As a designer on this project I:

• Created a brand identity with studio logo design and favicon.
• Designed a one page styled website for an easy non-refresh solution.
• Set up small photo shoot for site visuals and marketing needs.

Website:

As a front-end developer on this project I:

• Coded the site design (hmtl + css) as a single page website.
• Coded navigation to use scrolling animation with image parallax effects.
• Implemented an icons library to have global consistency with imagery.

Marketing

As a part of this effort I:

• Created EMA logo for the website, marketing, and business collateral.

• Designed concepts for the home page and sub pages for the website to be integrated into a Drupal CMS.
• Created hero animation for hybrid site homepage call to action.

Design Process:

On this project I was tasked to:

• Research, learn, and validate in-store payment process and procedure using register terminals.
• Brainstorm process solution for incremental donation offering.

UI Design:

As lead designer I worked on:

• Research and gathering visual assets from charity organization.
• Create mock-up and screens for payment terminal interactions.

Development Assets

As a part of the terminal developments efforts I was tasked to:

• Create development assets from UI designs for Verifone touch-screen software integration.

As a designer on this project I:

• Created a brand identity with an initial logo design.
• Designed a one page styled website for an easy non-refresh solution.
• Research and collect images for visuals catering to the clients needs.

Website:

As a front-end developer on this project I:

• Coded the site design (hmtl + css) as a single page scrolling website.
• Coded navigation to use scrolling animation with an image parallax effects.

CMS Integration

As a developer on the project I created a template for Joomla CMS integration which included:

• Converting coded website to a Joomla template package for CMS installation.
• Installing template into the content management system (Joomla) and troubleshoot for any compatibility/installation errors.

Component Design:

As a UX designer I helped:

• Design components, prototypes, and iterative mock-ups in Figma for design system solutions.
• Create unified icons library and convert it to icon fonts for site integration and use.

Storybook Development:

As a front-end developer I:

• Created an independent Storybook repository (React-based) for design system documentation and development.
• Coded static prototypes for React component conversions.
• Designed agnostic components with Storybook to be independent from any UI dependencies, libraries, etc.
• Developed icons svg library for single source icons location and component integration.
